Q9 Networks says it will invest $125 million to build its sixth data center in the Toronto area.

Canadian data center operator Q9 Networks announced plans to invest $125 million in a new 240,000 square foot facility in the Toronto area. The data center will represent the company's largest investment in the market and will be built to house 6,500 cabinets, says Data Center Knowledge.

The Toronto facility, slated to be available to customers by January 2011, will be constructed with the same standards of existing Q9 data centers, including outside air cooling, biometric security systems, redundant power and HVAC and fire suppression systems, says the WHIR.
