A number of companies are targets of similar attacks that seem to originate from China.

Los Angeles law firm Gipson Hoffman & Pancione, which is representing Cybersitter in its lawsuit over China's Green Dam censorship software, says it was targeted with a sophisticated online attack, similar to the one reported by Google.

According to Computerworld, employees started receiving well-crafted e-mail messages that seemed to come from other company staffers. However, the messages contained a malicious attachment or a link to a Web site that hosted attack code.

Bloomberg reports that a number of other companies were targets of similar attacks that seem to originate from China, including Yahoo and Adobe Systems.
