Hackers redirected traffic to non-Twitter servers.

BBC News reports that a group calling itself the Iranian Cyber Army hijacked Twitter and an Iranian opposition Web site. The hackers redirected traffic to non-Twitter servers and replaced Twitter's logos and text with their own imagery, according to The New York Times.

As we reported on our IT Business Edge site, the hackers posted a confused English message that read:

USA think they controlling and managing internet by their access, but they don't, we control and manage internet by our power.

Twitter founder Biz Stone admits:

Twitter's DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed.

The opposition Web site, mowjcamp.org, remains disrupted.
