LAS VEGAS. The Interop conference has long been a highlight on the networking industry's event calendar, and 2015 is no exception. In 2013, the big theme of the show was making Software Defined Networking (SDN) real, while in 2014 it was about expanding beyond just the network.
In a video interview with Enterprise Networking Planet, Jennifer Jessup, General Manager of Interop, explained that for 2015, the show is all about connecting the IT community.
Jessup said that SDN, security, cloud, and mobility are all covered in the content, in addition to career development and leadership tracks and sessions.
"It's everything starting at that layer of networking or infrastructure and moving up, so Interop has moved up the stack," Jessup said. "It reflect the industry as well, as you don't have as many people whose core function is the network, so we're more diverse, looking at cloud services, and security has become so much more prevalent."
