The update addresses vulnerabilities in Cisco's Unified Communications Manager and Unified Presence lines.

Cisco has released a security update that addresses vulnerabilities in its Unified Communications Manager and Unified Presence lines, reports V3.co.uk.

The update will fix a pair of security flaws in the Unified Communications Manager that could allow denial-of-service attacks, while the Unified Presence patch repairs SIP-handling denial-of-service vulnerabilities within the messaging platform.

The company says there are no known workarounds for the bugs. The U.S. Computer Emergency Response Team recommends that administrators review and install both updates.
